Collection: Mrs. Carter Classroom Book Wishlist
I am a passionate and experienced art educator with a deep love for creativity, learning, and connection. I began my teaching journey while attending Oklahoma State University, where I discovered my calling in the classroom while leading art classes during college. My emphasis in college was clay and printmaking-two mediums that continue to inspire my work and teaching.
Since 2007, l've been dedicated to nurturing artistic expression in students of all ages. In addition to traditional art classes, I've had the privilege of teaching art therapy sessions for individuals with Parkinson's disease, an experience that strengthened my belief in the power of art to heal, communicate, and uplift.
Outside the classroom, I cherish time with my family and our animals, and l'm an avid reader who loves diving into new stories and ideas. Whether working with clay, ink, or a great book, I believe in the joy of creativity and the importance of making space for imagination in everyday life.
