Truly my favorite bookstore I’ve ever visited. Not only is it one of the most beautifully curated selections of books, from timeless classics to the newest releases, but it’s also just a stunning space to spend time in. You can tell the owner has poured her heart and soul into making this shop welcoming, inspiring, and full of life. Every corner feels intentional, every shelf invites you to linger, and the atmosphere just makes you fall in love with reading all over again. Guthrie is lucky to have a place like this.

So cozy and welcoming! Love seeing the book pups! So many book clubs and community events that make your heart warm!

I just recently was there for my mom’s first book signing! It was a Gilmore Girls themed scavenger hunt through out Guthrie with other local businesses included! While selling some books, I met Bones! He was there with Angel Fund OKC. He is now my roommate💜 great place, great people, great books, great memories!! 📚

Even though there is a national chain bookstore 3-minutes down the road from my house, I will absolutely drive 15-minutes north to Guthrie to find any book I need at A Novel Idea. This store is cozy and the atmosphere just exudes calm. No employees hanging over your shoulders or side eyeing you as you're reading a couple of pages to get an idea of whether you want to buy the book or not -- and they always have the titles I'm looking for when I go there! On more than one occasion, I will plan to just run in and grab the book I'm looking for, but I'll wind up spending 2 hours there! Incredible book store. Incredible employees.
