Step into our third grade classroom and you’ll find a wonder bunch of bookworms, story detectives, and fact-finding adventureres. We don’t just read books - we LIVE THRU them! Whether we’re sailing the seven seas as pirates, cracking code with kids spies, or building volcanoes with science books, we’re always up to something awesome. 
Here in our classroom books are not just something on the shelf- they’re are superpower. They’re time machines, rocket ships, secret maps, and recipe books for the brain. We use them to learn everything from multiplication to mars rovers from kindness to koalas. 
And yes, I make it fun. Think reading racers, character dress up days, mystery book Mondays, and novel studies.
 At Charter Oak Elementary in the third grade we don’t just learn from books-we learn to love learning because of books.
